So, a story of mine that I didn’t really like (and that, as I recall, my editor didn’t really like either) just won a 2nd place sports feature award from the Kentucky Press Association.
Best part? I found out about it when my mother E-mailed me. Thanks, mom.
Not only is Tumblr radar back, they’ve also added a preview button. This is huge!
Today marks the one-year anniversary of this blog. I’ve had many, many blogs over the years; most were infrequently updated and few lasted longer than a couple of months. (Even though this blog was originally called “The J-School Daily News,” this is one whole year that I’ve been publishing on Tumblr.)
To coincide with this date I’ve completely redesigned this tumblelog. The colors might not last, but the design is now much, much simpler.
Thank you everyone for coming this past year. Hopefully I’ll make it to two!
Taking some time off for a while to write & think & read some of the big stack of books I received over the holidays. Enjoy yourselves.
After 3+ years of going as “newsroom” in the Tumblr community I’ve finally given in and switched to my real nameĀ®.
Also, I’m soliciting advice on writing, inspiration, and creative block. If you have any (or a good link) please send it over. Thank you!
