In the University Press of Kentucky’s marketing department, I honed my design skills creating advertisements, posters, and other promotional materials.
At Georgetown College I redesigned Insights, the college’s alumni magazine.
I also had the opportunity to create several Web sites in the past three years; combined with classes at Indiana University, those experiences have given me a core understanding of Web design fundamentals.
I earned a graduate degree in journalism from Indiana University, and I have developed my writing skills working as a freelancer for various publications for over four years. I have a proven track record in written communication and a solid grasp of the mechanics of the English language.
I have experience working in a nonprofit, promotional environment from my time working in Georgetown College and the University Press of Kentucky’s marketing departments. I understand how to craft and shape messages for a variety of audiences.
